FUTUR Festival Mexico launches a global open call for digital artists. Selected audiovisual works will be exhibited in Monterrey on November 14
Ahead of its first edition in Mexico, FUTUR Festival Mexico has launched ART OPEN CALL 2026 – Artists for the Futur, an initiative inviting digital artists and collectives from around the world to contribute to the festival's visual identity.
Under the theme “Envision the FUTUR,” the open call explores the intersection of digital art, technology and electronic music.
Artists aged 18 and over, regardless of nationality, can apply with an original 15-second video or animation. Works must be designed for a four-sided digital display measuring 3 × 1 metres, to be installed within the festival grounds. Selected works will be exhibited on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Parque Fundidora in Monterrey and reviewed by the creative and experience team behind FUTUR Festival Italy.
Selected artists will receive official credits during the exhibition, promotion across the festival's media and digital channels, a certificate of participation and two VIP Premium passes. Travel and accommodation are not included.
Applications must include an artist or collective biography, portfolio, project concept and objectives, moodboard or visual references, and a technical sheet. The deadline is Tuesday, October 20, 2026, with selected projects announced on Friday, October 30 as well.
Taking place on Friday, November 13, and Saturday, November 14, 2026, FUTUR Festival Mexico marks the festival's first edition outside Europe, bringing its combination of electronic music, club culture, art and creative production to Monterrey.
