A State of Trance (ASOT) returns to Mexico City as a single-night spectacle built for trance fans who love big productions and emotional, melodic sets. This edition is scheduled for 8 November 2025 at the Velódromo Olímpico in Mexico City — a roomy outdoor/covered sports venue that’s hosted large electronic events before — with doors typically opening in the evening.
The bill is anchored by ASOT founder Armin van Buuren, the face of the brand and the artist most people go to see for that signature long, epic trance set. The announced lineup also includes a mix of big names and top trance/tech-trance talents: MORTEN, Lilly Palmer, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ruben de Ronde, and TDJ. Expect van Buuren to deliver a headline set that blends his radio-friendly anthems with extended progressive and euphoric trance moments, while Ottaviani and Ruben de Ronde cover hands-up, uplifting variants and MORTEN brings his darker, more club-oriented energy.
Production at ASOT events is a key part of the experience: large LED walls, synchronized lighting, lasers and curated visuals that follow the emotional arc of trance. The Velódromo’s open plan means sound and visuals are staged for a big crowd; earlier ASOT events in Mexico have leaned into theatrical visuals and crowd singalongs during peak tracks.
