April and May 2026 are very rich months when it comes to music festivals, where DJs and electronic music take center stage

April and May 2026 promise to be an extraordinary period for electronic music lovers. As spring unfolds across the globe, the festival season bursts into life with a vibrant lineup of events where DJs and cutting-edge sounds take center stage. From tropical beaches to iconic European cities, this two-month journey offers a unique opportunity to experience the global pulse of electronic music.

The adventure begins in Bali, Indonesia, with Day Zero (April 14–19), an immersive festival set in a breathtaking natural landscape. Known for its spiritual atmosphere and deep, melodic sounds, it features artists like Damian Lazarus, Francis Mercier, and John Summit, setting the tone for the weeks ahead. From there, the scene shifts to Scotland for Terminal V in Edinburgh (April 18–19). This industrial-scale event has become a cornerstone of the UK techno scene, hosting powerful performances by Clara Cuvé, Patrick Topping, and Robert Hood.

Next stop: Ibiza, the beating heart of global club culture. IMS, The International Music Summit (April 22–24) blends industry insight with unforgettable parties, featuring names such as Eliza Rose, Jazzy, and the legendary Pete Tong. Italy then takes the spotlight with Aperyshow in Treviso (April 24–26 and April 30–May 3), a dynamic festival that combines electronic music with a vibrant social atmosphere. Acts like Eiffel 65, Fedde Le Grand, and Tujamo bring energy and nostalgia to the lineup.

Meanwhile, Ultra South Africa (April 25–26) delivers large-scale EDM experiences across Johannesburg and Cape Town, with global stars Afrojack, John Summit, and Shimza leading the charge. As May begins, Milano, Italia hosts Vision Open Air (May 1 and May 16), offering an urban festival experience with cutting-edge electronic acts such as Ilario Alicante, Max Dean, and Mochakk Calling Milano.

On the same weekend, Time Warp lands in São Paulo, Brazil (May 1–2), bringing its signature underground techno and house sound to Brazil with artists like Charlotte de Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, and Richie Hawtin. Across the Atlantic, Los Angeles (USA) hosts CORE by Tomorrowland (May 2–3), a festival that blends art, music, and immersive experiences, featuring Dixon, Honey Dijon, and Eric Prydz.

Mid-May takes us to Spaarnwoude, Netherlands for Upclose (May 16–17), one of the most awaited festivals. Set in Houtrak, it showcases leading figures such as Ellen Allien, Joris Voorn, and Nina Kraviz.

Finally, the journey concludes in Paris, France with Cercle (May 22–24), an event known for its stunning locations and audiovisual storytelling. With Adriatique, Michael Bibi, and Vintage Culture, it offers a perfect closing chapter to this global festival tour.

From Bali to Paris, from Milano to Los Angeles and Ibiza, these festivals highlight the diversity and energy of the electronic music scene in 2026. Whether you’re chasing underground techno or mainstream sets, these events represent the very best of what the season has to offer.
