An independent analysis certified that Tomorrowland’s risk profile is considered low to moderate and that no fundamental structural changes are necessary in the festival’s organization.

Following the fire that occurred during the setup of Tomorrowland Belgium 2025, WEAREONE.world, the municipalities of Boom and Rumst, and the Governor of the Province of Antwerp established a joint protocol for an independent and in-depth evaluation of the festival’s safety approach. The assessment was conducted under the coordination of the Crisis Governance Chair of the University of Antwerp and combines the results of specialized studies on fire safety, crowd management, and overall risk evaluation.

The report’s conclusions are clear: Tomorrowland’s risk profile is considered low to moderate and no fundamental structural changes are required in the organization of the festival. Both in terms of fire safety and evacuation capacity, the current approach has proven to be solid overall. The analyses show that, in emergency situations, visitors can quickly reach a safe area and that even in exceptional scenarios evacuation times remain within established safety standards.

At the same time, experts have proposed several targeted optimizations and additional recommendations. Many of these measures had already been introduced by the Tomorrowland organization during or immediately after the 2025 edition, independently of the analysis, and are now being further strengthened in close cooperation with the relevant authorities and emergency and safety services. The goal remains clear: ensuring a safe festival environment for visitors, staff, partners, and local residents.

The analysis also highlights the importance of continuous evaluation and close collaboration between the Tomorrowland organization, authorities, and emergency services. For this reason, dialogue with local residents and partners will remain a key focus in the coming months.

Tomorrowland 2026 is scheduled from July 17 to 19 and July 24 to 26.
